Over 20% of patients left without a bed in Irish hospitals today are being cared for at UHL.

The Dooradoyle facility – which provides emergency cover for North Tipp, Limerick and Clare – has 104 people on trolleys today.

Nationally the figure is 494 according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation which is reporting 12 people who have been admitted to TUH in Clonmel are still waiting for a bed.
