Population growth is putting severe pressure on GPs in Tipperary and a number of other counties across the country.
61 per cent of GPs questioned by the Irish Independent admitted they weren’t taking on any new patients due to the increased demands.

There were six areas where no practice was in the position to take on new patients – counties Tipperary, Kildare, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford and Cork (excluding the city).
