The Taoiseach will officially open the Modular Unit at Tipperary University Hospital.
The state-of-the-art 40 bed facility commenced operations early last year with the aim of easing overcrowding difficulties at the hospital on the Western Road.
The ceremony will take place on the hospital campus later this afternoon.
