Shortage of mental health services staff highlighted

The HSE has failed to spend any of an extra €15 million earmarked to boosting staff numbers in our mental health services.

That’s the claim from Fianna Fáil, who say the services need 2,000 extra staff to function properly.

New figures show only 93 extra staff have been hired so far this year.

Fianna Fáíl claims not a cent of the additional €15 million allocation for this year has been spent so far.
