Reduction in numbers on trolleys

368 patients admitted to Irish hospitals are on trolleys around the country today.

That’s down from 448 yesterday.

236 of those are in emergency departments, with 132 in wards elsewhere, according to the INMO.

University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of people waiting for beds with 83.

That’s followed by St Vincent’s in Dublin at 40.
