Over 400 patients without a bed in Irish hospitals today

University Hospital Limerick remains the most overcrowded hospital in the country once again today.

The hospital which serves north Tipperary has 75 patients without a bed – 39 of which are in the Emergency Department and 20 in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

The next busiest facility is University Hospital Galway with 59 – followed by Cork University Hospital with 45 patients – while 13 are waiting for a bed at Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel.

According to the INMO – there are 411 patients nationally without a bed today.
