It’s an extremely busy start to the week for frontline staff at University Hospital Limerick.
The Dooradoyle facility – which covers North Tipperary – has 114 patients without a bed today.

This is more than the total for the next four most overcrowded hospitals put together.
According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation there are no beds today for 353 people who have been admitted to hospitals across the country which means UHL accounts for one third of the national total.
There are 15 patients on trolleys at TUH in Clonmel today while 1 person is without a bed at Nenagh Hospital.
