Morris calls for investigation into closure of Nenagh ED

A local councillor is calling for an investigation into the decision to close Nenagh Hospital’s emergency department.

The call comes from Independent councillor in the Nenagh LEA Seamie Morris.

The Emergency department at University Hospital Limerick remains under pressure at the moment, which is not aided by the closure of emergency departments in Nenagh, Ennis and St. John’s in Limerick.

Speaking on Tipp Today earlier, Cllr Morris is calling for an investigation into who made the decision to close those facilities.
