Major overcrowding at UHL

There are 387 patients waiting for a bed in hospitals across the country this afternoon.

University Hospital Limerick – which covers North Tipperary, Limerick and Clare is the worst affected, with 38 people on trolleys in the Emergency Department and in overflow areas of wards.

That’s followed by Waterford University Hospital with 35 people in need of a bed.

There are 13 patients without a bed at South Tipp General in Clonmel today.
