Hospital overcrowding continues

There are nearly 60 patients waiting for a bed today in hospitals serving Tipperary.

University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded in the country, with 38 people on trolleys in the Emergency Department and in overflow areas of wards. Meanwhile there are 19 people waiting at South Tipp General in Clonmel.

Galway University Hospital is the second most overcrowded with 29 people in need of a bed.

In all the INMO are reporting that there are 355 patients waiting for a bed at hospitals across the country.
