Hospital overcrowding continues

There are more than 50 patients waiting on trolleys in hospitals serving Tipperary this afternoon.

University Hospital Limerick – which serves North Tipp – has 31 people waiting for a bed.

There are 22 people on trolleys at South Tipp General today.

According to the INMO, there are 415 patients on trolleys in emergency departments and in overflow areas of wards this afternoon.

University Hospital Galway the most overcrowded with 47 people in need of a bed.
