University Hospital Limerick accounts for nearly one third of the patients without a bed nationally today.
Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show that 331 people who have been admitted to hospital are being cared for on trolleys.

UHL – which covers North Tipp, Limerick and Clare – has 103 of these.
This compared with 31 at Letterkenny University Hospital which is the next most overcrowded today.
According to the nursing union TUH in Clonmel has 13 patients without a bed.
