There’s been a significant reduction in the number of people left without a bed in Irish hospitals as we head into the weekend.
According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation there are 305 patients being cared for on trolleys – down from 430 yesterday.

University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number again today with 87 – just 7 less than Thursday.
Cork University Hospital is next in line but with less than half the UHL figure at 42
There are no beds today for 15 people who have been admitted to TUH in Clonmel.
