Delays likely at UHL emergency department

Staff at the main hospital serving North Tipperary are having to deal with major overcrowding problems today.

University Hospital Limerick is the busiest in the country according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation with 64 patients without a bed.

South Tipp General in Clonmel has 14 people being cared for on trolleys or chairs.

Nationally there are 384 patients waiting for a bed today.
