Concern over ambulance response times in South East

Only 56 percent of life threatening calls had an ambulance at the scene within 19 minutes in the South East in 2016.

This is a drop from 61 percent in 2014.

Sinn Fein TD in Waterford David Cullinane says it’s clear there’s urgent need for investment at UHW in terms of staff and equipment.

He’s calling on the government to implement the Higgins Report and give the hospital the funding to match its status as the main hospital for the south east.
