Outpatient appointments will go ahead in TUH in Clonmel today after being cancelled yesterday due to the weather.

There may be some ongoing disruption to community and day services.

But they say they will try to contact people whose appointments are affected directly.

The HSE Mid West is advising patients to only attend appointments at UHL and Nenagh General if they have phoned ahead to confirm it is taking place and that it is safe for them to travel.

A small number of procedures were deferred yesterday at the two hospitals which serve north Tipperary.

Locals are being encouraged to take extreme care when out and about to prevent slips, trips and falls.

But the HSE says the Injury Unit in Nenagh is open from 8am to 8pm, every day to treat broken bones, dislocations, sprains, strains, wounds, scalds and minor burns.
