University Hospital Limerick – which serves North Tipp, Limerick and Clare has topped the INMO’s Trolley Watch list each day this week.
While the numbers have decreased slightly since yesterday – there are still 38 people waiting for a bed there today.
South Tipp General has also seen high numbers of those waiting on trolleys – with 29 people in need of a bed this afternoon up from 22 yesterday.
According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives organisation there are 355 people across the country on trolleys in Emergency Departments or in overflow areas of wards today.
