A Boil Water Notice has been issued for people supplied by the Carrick On Suir Crotty’s Lake supply in Carrick on Suir.
It’s in order to protect the health of approximately 1,937 customers on the scheme following operational issues at the treatment plant.
All consumers affected by this notice must boil the water before drinking.
This takes in all areas South of the River Suir except Friar Street Upper, Corpse Road, Rack Hill, South Quay and Bridge street.
On the north side of the river the areas of Hazel Close, Hawthorn Cresent, Ashgrove, Oak Drive, Beech Avenue, Sycamore Close and Mount Saint Nicholas are included in the area affected by the Boil Water Notice.
The townlands of Ross, Clonmoyle, Ballyhest, Ballygarret, Sheskin, Curraghduff and Joanstown in Co. Waterford also come under the boil notice.
However the Boil Water Notice does not apply to Uisce Éireann customers supplied by the Carrick On Suir Linguan Water Supply.
Meanwhile Uisce Eireann continues to work on issues in the Burncourt area of South Tipp
Reservoir interruption may cause supply disruptions to Burncourt, Kilroe, Drumroe, Lisfuncheon, Clogheen, Scart, Shanbally and surrounding areas.
