The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is urgently appealing for new donors in Tipperary.
Supplies have fallen over the Easter period, with blood stocks as low as 2.5 days’ supply for one type.
Donation clinics are being held at a number of locations in the Premier County this week.
In the north of the county there are clinics from Monday to Thursday from 4.50pm to 8.10pm each day in Nenagh Scouts Hall.
The Carraig Hotel in Carrick on Suir is the location for clinics this evening and tomorrow from 3.50pm to 8pm.
There will also be a blood donation clinic at Cahir House Hotel on Thursday from 3.50pm to 8pm.
The IBTS is particularly seeking new donors, younger donors, and those from diverse backgrounds, including individuals of African heritage.
