UHL remains the most overcrowded hospital in the country although the number of patients without beds has dropped slightly today.
The INMO says the hospital which serves north Tipperary has 72 patients on trolleys which is down 6 on yesterday but still more than 50-percent higher than the next worst figure which is 46 at CUH in Cork.
The totals had been lower over the past fortnight but management have started to restore cancelled non-urgent services across the UL Group.
The nurses organisation says there are 19 patients admitted to TUH in Clonmel without beds and 375 nationwide.
