There’s been a significant reduction in the numbers on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick as we head into the weekend.

However according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation there are still 80 patients without a bed at the facility which covers North Tipp.

This is down from 102 yesterday.

In all 429 people who have been admitted to hospital are without a bed this lunchtime.

The nursing union says 12 of these are at TUH in Clonmel.
