35 patients without a bed at hospitals serving Tipp

University Hospital Limerick with caters for North Tipperary patients has the 3rd most overcrowded Emergency Department in the country today.

New figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there are 22 patients stuck on trolleys and chairs in both the ED and overflow areas of wards at Dooradoyle.

The situation isn’t much better in South Tipp General – where 15 people are waiting for a bed – that figure stands at 22 in Waterford while CUH is the most overcrowded hospital.
