A quarter of all patients without a bed in Irish hospitals today are being cared for at UHL.
The facility which covers North Tipp has 98 people being cared for on trolleys according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Once again this is more than twice the next most overcrowded hospital which is University Hospital Galway with 41.
Nationally 393 people who have been admitted to hospital are in a similar situation – this includes 7 children under 16.
13 people are on trolleys at TUH in Clonmel today.
