Hayes says Tipp Farmers to benefit from Cap payment changes

Tipperary's Junior Minister says that changes to the direct payments to farmers under the new CAP deal will make the system fairer.

Under the new deal, which comes into force next year, direct payments will move towards a national average rather than a uniform payment…

Farmers with high payments will have their payments reduced while farmers on the lower scale will get an increase.

Tipperary TD and Junior Agriculture Minister Tom Hayes says the changes will ensure that the people on the frontline of farming get the support needed.
