Green light for Newport school extension

 

Proposals to expand a school in Newport have been lodged with Tipperary County Council.

Meanwhile the local authority has given the green light for works at a Borrisoleigh school.
Plans for an extension at a school in Newport have been submitted to Tipperary County Council.

Newport College is hoping to build a new temporary single story detached accommodation unit for use as 6 classrooms and associated toilets.

If approved these would be erected in two phases of 3 classrooms at the school on the Black Road.

The application is currently at the pre-validation stage with a decision due from the local authority by September 2nd.

Meanwhile Tipperary County Council has granted permission for works at a school in Borrisoleigh.

The Board of Management had sought approval to revise plans for a two-classroom pre-fabricated ASD Unit at Scoil Naomh Cualan on Pallas Street.
