Joan Burton's told the Dáil that the Government wants this resolved – and the way to do it is through discussions.
The US Embassy says it's not aware of any request from residents of the Croke Park area to get the US President involved in the debacle.

It had been reported earlier that a group of Ballybough residents had contacted the embassy to ask if Barack Obama could make contact with Garth Brooks to try to convince him to play the Croke Park gigs.
But in a statement this lunchtime the US Embassy says it's a matter for local authorities and the private parties involved.
