An independent T.D. is calling on the government to advance plans for a Tipperary Gaelscoil.

The site for the Gaelscoil at Irishtown in Clonmel was acquired by the Department of Education in 2010 from South Tipperary Co. Council.

However, local T.D. Mattie Mc Grath says there has been no development in the project since.

He claims that the Department has made no effort apart from one pre-planning meeting, to bring the project through the necessary planning stages.

He's now calling on them to implement the agreed time-frame for planning the school.
