It's rival for WhatsApp – called 'Allo' – has a smart reply function that can see what photo you've been sent, say a cute puppy on a beach, and suggest a reply, like 'he's adorable' – with just a single tap.
It uses artificial intelligence that can recognise what's in the picture or the text you've been sent, and then comes up with a reaction.

Google promoters say it gets really powerful when you bring the 'assistant' into group conversations, so if you're trying to arrange dinner, it can recommend good Italian restaurants nearby.
It'll run on both iPhone and Android phones and will be available in the summer.
