The Honorary Conferring and visit to the University by President Joachim Gauck will include a round table discussion with key speakers on Development and Human Rights at the Irish Centre of Human Rights at NUI Galway.
President Gauck will now join the ranks of previous honorary alumni at the University – such as Nelson Mandela, Hilary Clinton, and Enya.
