Gardaí to march on Dáil

It's the first action by the AGSI in a row over pay for new recruits and the slow rate of pay restoration for existing members of the force.

They're due to meet at Dublin Castle at 11 a.m. and arrive at the Dáil at midday.

The group says members have taken a 25 percent pay cut since 2008 and face another increment freeze on July 1st.

The General Secretary of the AGSI John Jacob says Gardaí need to be properly paid for putting themselves at risk every day.
