Gardai have renewed their appeal for information in relation to robberies from a pub in Cashel and a bookmakers in Cahir
The incidents occurred within half an hour of each other yesterday morning.
At around 11.20 yesterday two intruders – both said to be around 6 foot tall and of thin build – were disturbed in Fahey's Public House on Ladyswell Street in Cashel.
They assaulted the owner and made off on foot with a sum of cash into the centre of the town – they then left from a car-park in what's believed to have been a white Transit type van which may have been converted into a camper.
Anyone who may have seen this vehicle on the Cahir, Tipperary or Dundrum roads out of Cashel is asked to contact Gardai.
Meanwhile 2 raiders entered Harrington’s Bookmakers on Abbey Street in Cahir at around 11.50 yesterday morning.
One produced a handgun and demanded cash – the pair left with a sum of money and made their getaway on a motorcycle in the direction of the Tipperary road roundabout.
One was around 5'4″ the other 5'7″ – both were wearing dark clothing and multi-coloured helmets.
Any information on either of these incidents can be given to Gardai in Cahir on 052 7445630.
