Gardaí make fresh appeal over O’Brien murder

The 33 year old from Clondalkin has been named as the man whose body was found in a County Kildare canal last Saturday.

Gardaí want to talk to anyone who was in touch with Mr O'Brien in person, or by phone or text between Friday and Saturday morning.

They've renewed an appeal to people who were near the Grand Canal at Ardclough during that period. 

Superintendent Gerard Wall, who's leading the murder inquiry, says Mr O'Brien was a family man.
