A report in today’s Irish Independent says Gardai are continuing to make progress in their investigations.
Gardai last week carried out a detailed review of developments in the case – they say their hunt for Bobby Ryan's murderer is still very much alive.
Gardai have carried out extensive investigations into Mr Ryan's disappearance – a man was arrested in connection with his murder last June but subsequently released without charge.
Bobby Ryan worked as truck driver and was also well known through his work as a DJ, using the stage name Mr. Moonlight.
Following his disappearance in June of 2011 and the subsequent discovery of his van at Bansha Woods a major search operation took place – his remains were eventually discovered in a disused slurry pit at nearby Farnagown on April 30th 2013.
Investigating officers say they continue to make progress with their inquiries and were now in the final phase of the investigation before completing a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
