The clocks will change this weekend but Gardaí in Tipperary are urging road users to exercise caution.
It will be bright for longer in the evenings as clocks go forward by one hour at 1am on Sunday.
However Sgt Carol O’Leary of Cahir Garda station is reminding walkers and runners in particular to make sure they are still be seen by other road users.
“Take advantage of it, enjoy it but still be aware there is twilight, there is a changeover time. There are a lot of variables to it and we’d always encourage people to wear your hi-viz. Be seen – take a torch. If you’re going out for a walk and you get delayed – suddenly it’s dark when you’re coming back – have a small little torch and stick it in your pocket.”
