Gardaí investigating break-ins to houses in Clonmel and New Birmingham

Gardaí are investigating break-ins to houses in Clonmel and New Birmingham on Thursday August 22nd.

The Clonmel incident was in the Gort na Manach area where masked men were spotted.

Another burglary on the same date in the New Birmingham area may be linked.

Sergeant Carol O’Leary issued this appeal for information:

“There was two males seen in the area who had their faces covered which would stick in someone’s mind. There was also another male sitting in a grey Audi TT – a very distinctive car. So if you were in that area around 12.45 in the afternoon and saw anything please give us a ring here in Clonmel.

“The same date between 1 and 2.30 Gardaí are investigating a burglary in the New Birmingham area. Again a house was broken into on that date so if you saw anything on either of those times in around Clonmel or New Birmingham involving an Audi TT – even a partial reg.”
