It’s been confirmed that the boy injured in a fall from scaffolding in Nenagh was under 18.

A Garda statement to TippFM News earlier had originally said someone in their 20s was injured in the workplace incident in the Summerhill area yesterday afternoon (Monday).

However, it has now been clarified that the boy is a teenager who’s receiving treatment at Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin.

A helicopter was called in by paramedics after the incident but he was eventually taken in a conventional road ambulance.

His injuries are believed to be serious but not life-threatening.

Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority are both investigating the incident.
