Garda chiefs to update Minister on drug campaign

The Dial to Stop Drug Dealing campaign has been operating for almost a decade and it's giving back power to local communities. 

The campaign operates a confidential Freephone Crimestoppers number which allows people to report drug dealing in their area.

Garda chiefs will today provide an update on the Dial to Stop Drug Dealing campaign as they meet with the minister responsible for the area.

The Minister with responsibility for the National Drug Strategy, Catherine Byrne, says the service, which has been operating for almost a decade, empowers ordinary people.
