Two Tipperary motorists have been left counting the cost of what appears to be mindless vandalism.
Tyres have been slashed on two cars recently in apparently random attacks.
Sgt Carol O’Leary is urging anyone who might have seen anything suspicious in the Emly or Tipp Town areas to contact Gardaí.
“It’s a strange one and I suppose its mindless but for the victims in these cases it is expensive. On one occasion there on the 27th of January about 11.30pm in Emly there was four tyres on one car slashed. That’s just mindless, pointless and terrible for the victim in that case to have to go off and replace them. And on the 7th of February between 9pm and 4am the following morning two tyres were slashed on a car which was parked in the O’Duffy Terrace area of Tipp Town.
Any information on either incident can be given to Gardaí in Tipp Town on 062 80670.
