Gardaí are carrying out investigations into an incident on the outskirts of Cashel last night when a rock was thrown through the window of a passing car.
It happened at around 8pm on the roundabout near the McDonalds outlet.
A woman and her daughter who were in the car required hospital treatment.
Local Councillor Liam Browne told Tipp Today earlier this was not an isolated incident.
“This has been going on for at least the last week where there has been cars damaged and people being intimidated and people being hurt. But last nights incident just goes beyond it and its time to start saying stop because somebody has ended up in hospital and a car got badly damaged.
“We’re lucky we’re talking about someone who got injured as bad as that is – we could have been talking about somebody getting killed last night and I fear that if we don’t cop on very shortly and get it sorted out some conversation we’ll be having shortly will be about somebody getting killed up there.”
