A motorist in Roscrea is facing prosecution for a string of offences.
Officers from the Tipperary Roads Policing Unit were patrolling the town last evening when they spotted the driver and passenger of a Toyota Yaris not wearing their seat belts.
On stopping the car the Garda Automatic Number Plate Recognition system flagged for no insurance while the tax had expired.
The learner permit holder was not accompanied by a qualified driver and had no L-Plates on display – they had their car seized and can now look forward to a day out in court.
