The theft of two cars from the Tipp – Limerick border late last month is being investigated by Gardaí.
A BMW 5 series and a Nissan March were taken from Monard between 1am and 5am on Friday November 22nd.
The vehicles have been recovered and one person has been arrested.
Sgt Carol O’Leary says Gardaí are hoping to make more progress in tracking down others involved in the crime.
“The Nissan March (Micra) was recovered in the Davitt Street area of Tipp Town after it was crashed. And there was a young person arrested in relation to that by Tipp Town Gardaí. The BMW 5 series was recovered in the Castleconnell area so what we’re appealing for is for anyone who may have been around the Monard area – either heading back in towards Tipp Town or heading towards Castleconnell – if you have dashcam footage. Gardaí in Tipperary Town are appealing for information to help solve and get other people before the courts in relation to that one.”
