Gardaí are investigating a break-in to a shed in West Tipp.

Thieves stole a number of items in the Knockavilla area on Friday, September 6th.

Sgt Carol O’Leary is asking people to take the time report any suspicious activity in the area or if they are offered the stolen goods at a knockdown price.

“Between 7 o’clock in the morning and 12 noon there was a shed broken into in the Knockavilla village area. An antique clock and a drill (were taken) and as we always say if you’re offered an antique clock or a drill in this situation – something from unusual circumstances let us know if its not from a reputable seller or antique dealer in particular please let us know.”

Tipperary Town Gardaí are also appealing for information in relation to a break-in to a house in the Lattin area.

The early morning burglary happened on Sunday, September 8th.

Sgt O’Leary says Gardaí are particularly anxious to hear from anyone who may have seen a small dark coloured car in the Lattin or Emly areas.

“About 2 o’clock in the morning a house was broken into by four people in the Lattin village area. They were disturbed by the occupants and left the scene in a small dark coloured car in the direction of Emly.

“So again, 2 o’clock in the morning on the 8th of September – you would have had people possibly coming back from work or just around the area. If you were and if you saw a small dark coloured car anywhere around Emly please let us know.”
