A young girl has been hospitalised following a collision near Killoscully yesterday afternoon.
The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at around 4pm on the Newport side of the village at Garraunbeg on the L2110.
She was taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries and has since been transferred to Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street.
A technical examination of the scene will be carried out this morning – as a result the road will be closed for a number of hours.
Road users are asked to take an alternative route and allow extra time for their journey.
Gardaí in Nenagh are investigating and have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them on 067 50450.
