Garda Commissioner to survive no confidence motion

The Dáil will vote on the motion later – but as it doesn’t have the support of Fine Gael or Fianna Fáil it will be defeated.

Sinn Féin’s insisted the Commissioner’s “pass the buck” attitude at the top of the force is damaging public confidence.

But Taoiseach Enda Kenny says Noirín O’Sullivan has his support to lead change and reform.
