Members of the public will once again be able to use the sporting facilities at the Garda College in Templemore.
The swimming pool and playing pitches at the centre had been available for local schools and members of the public for generations – however this came to an end recently.
At the time the move was met with great disappointment by the local community in Templemore.
Following discussions with Garda authorities Deputy Alan Kelly says the decision has been reversed with the pool and pitches to be reopened in the coming months.
