The issue was raised at this weeks meeting of Tipperary County Council during a debate on the authorities wind energy development strategy.
Councillor Michéal Lowry queried the whole issue of the subsidies currently available for wind farms.

He says these financial aids are being removed in other countries leading to problems with the commercial viability of the wind farm
He is fearful of what might happen in Tipperary and across the country if this situation was to arise here.
