Irish Airlines have been forced to cancel a number of flights today due to a strike by French Air traffic controllers.

Ryanair says 30,000 of their customers will be directly affected, and over 100,000 will face delays, while Aer Lingus has cancelled 12 flights.

The travel chaos is due to industrial action by French Air Traffic Controllers, their 12th day of strike action in 13 weeks.

People are advised to check their airlines website before heading to the airport.
