Some members of North Tipperary Co. Council are as oppposed to the unification of Tipperary as many of their southern counterparts.
This emerged at yesterdays meeting in Nenagh.
Councillor Jim Casey described the move to unite North and South Tipperary by 2014 as a farce and a negation of local democracy.
