Motorists on the N24 Tipperary – Limerick road are facing even more disruption.
Traffic restrictions have been in place in Oola for a number of months now, as work continues on the railway bridge.

But that disruption is expected to get worse, after Iarnród Eireann applied to Limerick County Council for a temporary road closure, in order to facilitate the complete replacement of the bridge.
That closure is proposed for one week, beginning on August 20th.
Iarnród Eireann will hold an information meeting on the closure, next Tuesday, the 24th, at Ballykisteen Hotel from 5 – 8pm.
