Further court appearance in connection with Cashel siege

The man responsible for last week’s hostage siege in Cashel is due before the courts again today.

30 year old Ger Brown, of no fixed abode, entered the pharmacy on Ladyswell Street in Cashel, on Tuesday morning of last week, and using an imitation firearm, held 4 staff hostage for over 2 hours.

The ordeal came to an end when Gardai used a taser gun to take him down.

He faces a numbers of charges in connection with the incident and is due before the courts again today.
